Christopher Giangarlo, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Christopher Giangarlo, LPC believes everyone has a story worth telling—and that feeling heard, understood, and accepted can be the beginning of meaningful change.
With a genuine passion for helping others, Christopher brings empathy, patience, authenticity, and a healthy sense of humor to his work. He understands that starting therapy can feel intimidating, which is why he strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where clients can feel comfortable being themselves.
A lifelong enthusiast of movies, music, comic books, video games, and pop culture, Christopher recognizes the powerful role stories play in shaping our identities and experiences. Whether it’s a favorite superhero, a meaningful song, or a movie that resonates with a particular life experience, he believes connection and self-discovery can begin in unexpected ways.
Christopher has a particular passion for working with adolescents and young adults, helping them navigate identity development, emotional challenges, relationships, and the often overwhelming transitions that come with growing into adulthood.
Christopher’s Approach to Therapy
“I believe therapy should be a collaborative, compassionate experience that meets you exactly where you are.
Life can be complicated, overwhelming, and sometimes downright absurd. My goal is to create a space where you can let your guard down, explore your experiences openly, and feel genuinely heard without fear of judgment.
I approach therapy with empathy, authenticity, patience, and humor, while incorporating evidence-based strategies to help you develop practical coping skills, build confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
I don’t believe therapy needs to feel overly clinical or intimidating. Sometimes growth begins with a difficult conversation, a new perspective, or even a shared laugh.
Above all, I want you to know that you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.”
Therapy Style & Modalities Used
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Christopher tailors therapy to each individual’s needs, experiences, and goals. His work emphasizes self-awareness, emotional expression, practical coping skills, and personal growth, helping clients better understand themselves while building confidence and resilience.
With a natural sense of humor and an appreciation for creativity, storytelling, and pop culture, Christopher creates a welcoming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and nonjudgmental environment where adolescents and adults can feel comfortable being themselves. He believes meaningful progress begins with genuine connection and that therapy should feel approachable, engaging, and empowering.
